If you haven’t played Domination<\/a> with us then you haven’t played with us in far too long. Basically, two teams compete to gain ownership of control points scattered around the field. These control points are represented by laser tag props that are brightly colored arms that flip back and forth, making this great “thwok!” sound. It looks something like this:<\/p>\n

The king of laser tag props<\/strong><\/h2>\n

In addition to domination we’ve also lined up several arms in a row to simulate raising and lowering a flag (for base capture<\/a> games) and as waypoints in VIP Escort<\/a>, which makes it easier for the assault team to catch up to and ambush the escort team. (At a glance they know whether the escort has passed that point.)<\/p>\n

Field Owner Notes:<\/strong><\/h2>\n

We used to run Team Deathmatch<\/a> games more than any other game. It’s simple, quick, and easy to understand and play. The problem is that it can get very repetitive and aside from introducing an objective (which makes it a different game anyhow) there’s little you can do to really change it up. Then we built our first set of domination arms. Now we almost never run team deathmatch games and we run a lot more domination than we ever used to run team deathmatch. When you field the arms, put at least three out. Unless it’s a side objective never put out only one arm because it’ll decrease the effective size of your field to a 30′ diameter circle. Three arms, on the other hand, splits up each team into three smaller, intense battles. It’s fantastic. Dom arms are cheap to make and\u00a0indispensable\u00a0on the field. They’re absolutely one of the most critical laser tag props for your field.
