{"id":367,"date":"2013-05-06T06:50:10","date_gmt":"2013-05-06T12:50:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mikescombatgames.com\/laser-tag-blog\/?page_id=367"},"modified":"2014-10-24T20:42:04","modified_gmt":"2014-10-25T02:42:04","slug":"how-to-read-this-blog","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.mikescombatgames.com\/laser-tag-blog\/how-to-read-this-blog\/","title":{"rendered":"How to read this blog"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;ll be the first to admit: there&#8217;s lots of stuff here and reading the posts in chronological order may not be the most interesting thing for you, particularly since we cover lots of different topics that are sometimes only useful or interesting to a certain segment of players, with some extra stuff thrown in that&#8217;s most useful to folks who <em>aren&#8217;t<\/em> going to play with us. That said, we wanted to go ahead and help you find the things that are probably most interesting to you.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 15px;\"><a title=\"Laser Tag FAQ\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mikescombatgames.com\/laser-tag-blog\/frequently-asked-questions-laser-tag-faq\/\" target=\"_blank\">Our FAQ<\/a> is always growing slowly and already covers most of the common questions that we receive. Feel free to check it out first if you&#8217;re trying to figure out whether we can help you and your group.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>The blue column on the right-hand side over there (\u00a0&#8212;-&gt;\u00a0) has several chunks that may be useful if you&#8217;re looking for different types of information. The Categories links each have a large number of posts covering a wide variety of topics related to that category. Categories are a very broad, general way to look for information.<\/li>\n<li>Scroll down the bar farther, past the time-specific archive links, and you&#8217;ll get to what&#8217;s called a &#8220;tag cloud.&#8221; After the &#8220;Looking for more&#8230;&#8221; all of those are different tags. Tags are a much more specific way to search for specific topics. You&#8217;ll notice that the tags are in several different sizes. Bigger tags are used in more posts, so if you click a big tag, expect to have lots of articles under it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We&#8217;d also like to point out that really small link at the bottom that says &#8220;RSS Feed.&#8221; An RSS feed is basically a little ticker that lets you know when a blog has updated itself. Lots of RSS readers are available for free on the internet and smartphones (like Google Reader) and you may already use one for reading blogs and news sites. If you do, just copy the link location for our feed and give it to your RSS reader. Unfortunately, we don&#8217;t have the resources to help you do this since there are many different RSS readers out there. On the bright side, though, they aren&#8217;t terribly complicated, so feel free to dive in and try one if you&#8217;re curious.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, though, we want to make sure that you know that if you&#8217;re ever trying to find information or answer a question we&#8217;re happy to help in any way we can.
