FAQ: Will it make a mess? Will it hurt? (Laser tag safety)

These seem like different questions about laser tag safety but they’ve actually got the same answer: No! Our gaming guns don’t use physical projectiles of any sort: no pellets, no paint, nothing. They only shoot light beams at each other. It’s the same light, in fact, that comes out of your TV remote. It’s completely safe for your eyes and isn’t an actual laser, which would be dangerous.

Two great questions on laser tag safety

We get asked a lot about laser tag safety, but there’s nothing to worry about. It’s common for us to have younger kids in a group. Laser tag is very safe.

What this means is that there are no projectiles left anywhere, so there’s no cleanup and no impact on the environment. Because nothing actually physically hits you there is nothing to cause any pain, welts, or bruising like you get with paintball and airsoft.

When it comes down to it, laser tag is also as healthy for the environment as it is for you to play! The gaming guns only use rechargeable batteries, not compressed air or propane like airsoft and paintball. Combine this with the fact that there is no trash left behind (we also always police any area for trash before we leave) and it’s a good deal for all.

So in short, no muss, no fuss. Laser tag is safe and clean. It’s good for you and good for the planet, which, when all is said and done, makes laser tag a fantastic thing for everyone.
